Can I use photos from dogs I've boarded to advertise for myself?

I am wondering if I can use photos I've taken from dogs stays with me for my Rover advertising, or would I need to ask the owners first?

I regularly add photos of guest dogs to my profile so that prospective clients can see the type of environment their dog will be in. I have never requested permission from an owner nor had a complaint or request to remove. However, if you are planning to put the photos up on another site like Craigslist then I might mention and ask if they have any problems with it. Evidently Rover doesn't think there is anything wrong with it because early on, without my knowledge or consent, they advertised for me on CL I wasn't too happy seeing a photo of myself and house up on CL.

I always let clients know at the M&G that in addition to sending pictures through Rover, I also upload stay photos to instagram and facebook. I do this partially as a convenience to them, since I take a lot of pictures and like to upload them more or less as I take them, but I don't want to interrupt my clients' vacation/business trip/whatever with a dozen push notifications per day, so I usually limit my Rover uploads to larger groups of pictures once every day or two, and they can check in with the instagram/facebook accounts at their convenience. I've never had a client be concerned about having images of their dogs used on outside sites, though if I were going to use them on printed materials or sites other than facebook/instagram, I would ask permission as a courtesy.
