What Steps can I take to ensure approval of my Sitter profile??

I'm looking for any and all tips, tricks and advice experienced sitters are willing to pass down to me as I begin my Sitting career.

I want to be sure I take the proper steps towards my Sitter Profile being approved

In order to get your profile approved, you simply have to complete all the steps they provide for you. I've seen plenty of profiles that have been approved with just the bare minimum of descriptions and pictures, even with less than Rover prompts you to add.

However, in order to get approved AND start attracting customers, I'd recommend being thorough in your profile - I actually prefer the previous profile setup, where our in addition to our generic intro, profiles were broken down as answers to questions, including why we love dog sitting, what we need to know about a client's dog, whether we've had experience with administering medication, where our client's dogs will sleep, what exercise you can provide, what a typical day at your home looks like, etc. A lot of clients aren't going to read your whole profile, but for those who do, making sure you're showing off the best of what you have to offer is key - you want clients to read your profile, look at your pictures, and think "my dog would love that!"

Beyond making an attractive profile, collect all the badges you can to boost yourself in the search rankings, and have a few people write testimonials for you so there's some outside validation of your skills. If you have any existing clients (or any friends who need you to watch their pets!) book them through Rover to get a starred review, which you only get for verified Rover stays. Once you have a star ranking your profile will look a lot more attractive to new clients, who want that verification that you really are who you say you are.

Good luck!

So what do I need to make my profile approved? Because I did everything except I haven't done the background check because I don't feel like it's fair that I have to pay for it myself when Rover, "pet owners" aka "animals kidnappers" and the animals that are "pets" also benefit from the bg check.
