Do i have to have a background check to start sitting?

im in college and dont really have much disposable income, that is why i wanted to start rover (that and dogs are amazing) but it wont let me complete my profile till i pay the money

Most companies like yours such as Lyft, Uber, postmates, Amazon etc. Pay for the background checks, why are you charging when we work for your company and you get 20% ???
