Last-minute rate?

Am I the only one who wishes she could set a last-minute sitting rate? Like maybe any request starting in less than 36 hours being set at a hire rate? I know I can always turn down a request, but I'm someone who doesn't like having last-minute changes to what my weekend is going to look like. But, if I were able to charge more, I'd probably be more inclined to say yes to a last-minute request.

Does this make any sense? Am I alone in this?

Agreed. I'd like to charge more for last minute bookings, as I also like to plan ahead. Saying something to address this your profile is a good idea. Although not everyone reads profiles, and some clients get turned off when there seems to be "hidden fees." Fingers crossed Rover will add this.

I completely understand your thoughts on this topic.

If you wanted to encourage last minute rates at a higher rate, you could add in your profile something like "Last minute need? I can help you. Up-charged rates apply..." and specify what that amount or incremental amount is that you'd enter as a cost adjustment before clicking book it now. Of course, not all profiles are read completely, so this may or may not achieve the desired result. You may find it works best to continue to turn down those with insufficient notice.

The platform does not support different rates structures, if you aren't happy with your current rates you can always adjust them up, and discount if a booking falls into your acceptance criteria
