long term arrangements?

Hello Rovers! I haven't gotten a new dog since my last best friend passed because I was worried about leaving the dog alone in the house while working and getting someone who could consistently come over was a pain.

When I got my last dog I worked from home but now go into the office 2-3 days a week... Probably a stupid question, but I would assume arrangements can be made for permanent long term visit services? As opposed to just for a week or two at a time....

I have a large fenced in yard and a nice street to walk on... Thanks Harold

I think any sitter would be happy to have a more permanent client! Any arrangements can be made with the sitters. Find one that's a good fit and see what you can negotiate! Good luck.

Many sitters in your area would love to take on a 2-3 day per week visit to your home for the long term. I myself am a Rover walker and have cared for many clients for more than 2 years continuous M-F. Search the platform for walkers and I am certain you will find the right fit for you. Best of luck

This is absolutely do-able! When you contact a new sitter for a Meet & Greet, let them know you're looking for a long term sitter. It's nice to book the appointments in groups. As in, booking 2 weeks at a time or booking 6 appointments at a time, etc. Once the initial booking happens, your new sitter can set up the appointments from there. Just ask them ahead of time! Best of luck!

Harold, just like Walt and Jessica said - that is not a problem! I have one client who always books a walk M,W,F - I rebook every weekend for the following weeks walks just in case her schedule changes but otherwise it is agreed that those walks will happen, unless otherwise talked about. I also have several other regular clients with regular M-F bookings.

So it is no problem at all and something you can easily discuss and work out with the right sitter. Good luck!

Thanks very much! I was hoping this was the case! I have been thinking more and more of getting another dog that needs to get spoiled! But didn't want to do it too soon after my last best friend passed and before I could ensure they wouldn't be left alone on the days I need to go into the office
