Accepting monetary tips from owners?

If a pet owner insists on tipping a sitter after the service is completed, how do they go about doing that?

Cash, gift card or PayPal if you have an account with them. There isn't anywhere on Rover for tips because I am not really sure what the correct percentage is that Rover takes out.

When a client tips me I say thank you very much and it is greatly appreciated

Yes, that is always a very good thing to do as I do as well when my clients sometimes tip. 😀

They would have to give you cash, a gift card or use Paypal. There is no mechanism to tip using the Rover platform. Besides, Rover takes at least 20% and they did nothing to deserve any of your tip. ;-)

I believe that your clients aren't supposed to tip you anything but some will do that anyways because I had some clients who did tip us and they always gave us cash.

Aren't supposed to? Rover can't dictate any such thing. If you read here https://support.rover.com/hc/en-us/articles/206199686-Should-I-tip-my-sitter- you will see: "That said, if you’d like to offer them a tip, you’re perfectly welcome to! Just know that it’s never expected or required."

Or Venmo, or Zelle, or Chase QuickPay, the options are now endless! lol.

Cash in hand is easiest but not many people do tip on a few of my clients do. I wish it had a tipping feature built in!

I have had a few clients who give us cash tips anywhere from $10 - $20 and I have also received gift card. I started getting more tips as I got better at communicating and really making both the dogs and their parents feel like their experience is unique and altered to their needs! Great Feeling
