Housesitting request: adult dog and puppy. Puppy fee and additional dog fee?

I received a request to housesit an adult dog and a puppy. I'm not sure who puts the fees in on the original request. It was put in as puppy fee and additional dog. I'm thinking this is wrong. I thought it was supposed to be standard fee for adult dog and puppy fee for pup. I have m & g with adult dog today and can meet puppy closer to time of housesitting as pup is in- laws dog and doesn't live with dog but they will have him for a couple weeks prior to dates of housesit. I went back into request and changed fees to standard and puppy fee. This is a new client and I want to do the right thing. Any advice?

The rates are automatically generated by what you entered in your profile. So, it sounds like you need to review those. Since you'd have no control if future quotes for adult dogs+puppy would be generated as puppy price +additional dog, and potentially have to modify all quotes for standard price plus puppy price, I'd recommend removing the additional dog discount (which half off is surprisingly cheap!) Instead, when you want to offer a discount, you can enter a cost adjustment before booking - that way quotes will automatically be sent at the rates you've set up and there wont be any confusion between you & pet parents.

Thank you. I will definitely go in and change my additional dog fee. I try to stay competitive with others in my area but I don't want to cheat myself out of what I deserve.
