My 15 mo old female play sleeps on my pillow. Not sure what it means?

have an odd situation with my 15 month old female rescue dog and I’m not sure if she’s a practical joker or asserting dominance or what. She has her own side of my king size bed but. Starting about three weeks ago, at night when she knows I’m closing up the house for the night and getting ready to go to sleep, she will lay down on top of my pillow, close her eyes and pretend to be asleep. While she’s doing this Her tail is wagging. She pretty much plays dead and I have to roll her over to her side of the bed. At that point, all becomes normal and she goes to sleep for real. Is she playing a practical joke or what? I’m not sure what to make of it. Any ideas?

It doesn't mean anything harmful or claiming dominance over you. Dogs can be pretty humorous. I think that's her way of playing with you since he knows your nightly routine already. She may also crave attention at the same time hence why she could be wagging her tail and having you roll her over. It's all in good fun!
