Why can't I access ratings for other dogs/owners?

I find it troubling that owners can leave public reviews for me, but I can't review owners for other sitters to review.

For example: I had an owner who was several hours early to drop off the dog, several hours late to pick up, and greatly exaggerated how well trained the dog was, which led to a much more difficult experience as a sitter than I'd expected. If I knew the dog wasn't properly house trained, I would have politely declined the booking, but instead I was cleaning pee all week.

I'm not asking reviews of owners to be public, but other sitters could greatly benefit from reviewing owners/dogs prior stays: it would help find the right sitter for these owners/dogs and it would avoid trouble when owners are a bit starry-eyed about their dogs and not quite honest about their habits.

Is Rover doing anything to address this? Seems like a hugely important feature that's missing. Thanks!

Amen. Most of the dogs I have watched were wonderful but there has been one that the owners were not honest about and put our other pets in danger, and also had me cleaning up urine despite long walks.

The sitter community has been asking to see client/dog reviews for years with any response from Rover, we can all hope it may be addressed but I highly doubt it will happen

This is something I wondered about as well. I’m very honest about reviewing dogs I watch and I try to think what information would be valuable to other sitters. Rover should allow for sitters to see feedback on dogs.
