I have been on Rover for about two weeks now and have only gotten one request. IIs this normal for the MN area ? Also I'm a college student who could really use the money
Give it some time! For the first few months I didn't have anyone contact me then voila I get requests almost every weekend. :) Try and make your profile reach a specific group! For example - I work downtown and live uptown, and am only available to walk in the evening. Make sure you let people know where you are and what's unique about your circumstances and personality.

I can't answer about MN specifically. However, you do not offer Rover's top used & needed service: Boarding. So, if you really need more money, you may have to offer more services than Walks and Drop In Visits.
For many new sitters, it can take weeks to even months to get your first booking, in my case, it was three months. And as Deb mentioned a lot has to do with the services you have decided to offer walks and drop-ins are the least requested services. Best of luck to you
