What would you charge someone to stay with their dogs for 4 hours?

Hello!

I am still new to dog sitting and trying to figure how I should be charging my clients. I just received a request to come stay with 3 dogs while the family is gone for 4 hours. I charge $32/night + $5 for each additional dog, so for an overnight this would be $42. How would you go about charging for just 4 hours? More than $42 or less?

Thank you so much for any input!

I would say, based on your overnight prices and having 3 dogs, you could charge them $32 for the 4 hours. If they have a problem and you want the booking, then I would lower it to 28. But I wouldn't go any lower than that. Three dogs is a lot of work.

Welcome Rachel! In this case, I would suggest charging your house sitting fee and any additional fees for additional pups, I think your clients would feel good about this pricing. Hope that helps, have fun at your stay!
