My 3 year old "potcake" has randomly started biting peoples hands - strangers, but also friends and family who have known him since he was a puppy. I have not been able to find a pattern or reason for his biting, what can I do to stop this?
I am unable to find a pattern or reason for this biting so I am unable to predict when it is going to happen which is making it difficult to prevent and stop this behaviour. What I am doing now is putting a muzzle on him when he is out of the house and keeping him on a leash when he is inside so that I am able to keep him by my side in case anyone comes into my home.
Rachel, Please make an appointment with your veterinarian for a thorough check up. The dog could have a cracked tooth, toenails, and or other physical things going on that would cause this type of behavior change.
