How to stop adult rescue dog peeing on carpets?

Fenton, our 6-year-old chi/corgi whom we've had for 3 years, continues to pee on carpets. Vinegar-water sprays and Nature's Miracle sprays, have had no noticeable effects. A recent thorough professional cleaning actually removed all residual stains, and yet Fenton did it again. She was sleeping with me and during the night she did a full urination in the adjoining guest bedroom. Mostly in the past year or so we've started keeping her out of all carpeted areas, meaning she's not allowed to sleep with me, and I was hoping that could change. We've never caught her in the act. I've tried enthusiastically praising her when she pees outside--we take her out 4x/day. Another unsuccessful effort was trying to train her to pee on command. The only other animal in the house is her feline playmate. What else can we do?

Fenton last had a full physical a couple of weeks ago.

My former puppy mill dog was never completely house broken because I didn't get her until she was about 7 or 8. About a year ago she had a urinary infection and wouldn't stop peeing on the rugs. Finally I tried Huggies diapers cutting a hole for her tail. Works great.

I highly recommend you take your pup to the vet for a thorough exam, if the pup is peeing all the time in your home yet you take them out frequently indicates something may be going on. Best of luck to you
