What if a pet owner wants to pay me in cash?

I am new to http://Rover.com and was a little confused on how the payment/invoice process worked. I accidentally told a client the wrong amount for the total charge before we booked it but she was so nice, I was okay with leaving it on the cheaper end for her. I had a meet and greet with her today and from the way she spoke about paying me, it sounded like she wanted to pay me in cash because she said she was going to leave me more than on the invoice. I also prefer to be paid in cash, if the client is comfortable with that. Is that possible? I don't want the client to leave me cash and then her card get charged once the stay is completed; I would be so embarrassed and feel absolutely awful.

If Rover finds out that you are letting clients pay you for the stay in cash they could terminate your account. They only make their money through people booking through the site so obviously paying off-site is not allowed. The client also gets dog insurance for the stay when they pay through the site. If you have more questions you can always call Rover Customer Service.

If she wants to leave you a tip in cash though then that's probably okay but, you know, don't go around advertising it lol

I 100% agree. Rover will terminate your account. Do not accept cash and always book through the proper Rover procedures. :)

Thank you guys!!!! Now I know.

They will suspend you first to let your clients panic who don’t have your personal info then without telling you shut you down and ruin you to all your clients offering them refunds of booked stays and vouchers to stay on Rover and away from you. Not worth it if you like Rover
