Just had a new client contact me for a booking 2 months in advance?

they are a new rover profile created the same day. does not have a complete profile. They didn't even let me suggest a m&g but instead initiated the booking and i quickly accepted but now i think they may be a scammer....and now they have my address (via the itinerary, i did not give it to them) since it was dog boarding request should i be concerned?

Many new Rover customers create their accounts on the same day that they might contact sitters, so it isn't unusual or an indication that the person is a scammer. People in a hurry to find a sitter often do not bother filling out the dog profile either.

As Walt suggested, set up a M&G now and ask the client to fill in the basic pet information.

On future requests, start a conversation with the client and request M&Gs for all new dogs. You shouldn't rely on the customer to ask. If a dog is coming into my home for boarding, I want to meet the dog and the owner. The responsibility is yours.

Even though the booking has been accepted by you and the client there is nothing to stop you from having a meet and greet with them, in fact, I would insist on it. You need to feel comfortable with the dog and client, so be sure you have another family member or friend be with you at the meet and greet. If you aren't happy after the M&G I would tell the client and then cancel the booking. Best of luck
