I had to reschedule my dog walk, since I paid for it, can I use it for another day?

My usual dog walker asked me to schedule another walk on the app...but it's going to charge me again. I already paid for it, but had to cancel it last minute and asked her if she can do it at another time. She said yes, but now telling me I have to rebook it again.

Yes, you have to rebook it unfortunately. Until services are completed, your card is not charged yet (should be under processing) and you will be refunded for any walks/visits that are missing. You'll have to rebook it to get the insurance coverage and Rover card.

This is incorrect - your card is charged when you book the service and Rover holds the funds until the service is completed, then releases to the sitter after 48 hours.

If you and your walker are in agreement to change the date, you can call rover support to "modify" the date. I have done that many times for customers. Unless it is last minute, I or the owner will send a "modify" and state to change the date from _ to _. I have had no problems with modifying boarding date changes.

Same. As long as they have a new service date I'll ask Rover to modify the booking to keep the client.

The booking that was canceled last minute should have been formally canceled with Rover so you would be refunded. If neither you or the sitter didn't cancel don't worry you can still have it canceled and your money refunded by calling Rover Support @ 888-453-7889 and they will get it set straight.

It may depend on the sitter's cancellation policy. If you cancelled super last minute, the sitter already reserved that time spot for you specifically and unable to fill it after you cancelled. However, I would advise you check with your sitter and ask! One of you would have needed to actually cancel through the Rover site in order for Rover to know that the walk never happened. Your sitter may not have known that you wanted a refund, but should be able to modify the cost of the future walk.
