Are the dog's vaccination records required?

We are from out of state and don't have our dog's vet records with us. Are these required?

Its always a good idea to check vet records. I like to have them snap a pic of the vet itemized receipt.

Each sitter sets up their own "requirements" so you really want to check with the sitter when you first contact them. Some sitters may just want verbal confirmation that they were up to day, another may want an actual vaccine certificate from your vet, and finally you than also have the sitter who does not even ask.

I know you mentioned you are from out of town, just a side note you can always have the vet fax a vaccine certificate or you can always have the sitter call your vets office for vaccine verification.
