Kennel License?

This isn’t a question but rather a comment, I have been a Rover sitter for a year. Today I had a Dog Enforcement Officer from the Dept of Agriculture visit my house and told me they are requiring all dog sitters from PA to get a kennel license or after one visit if they check Rover and you are found in violation you will be fined. They are acquiring the information from Rover and making visits to homes. Just an FYI.

Comments

This happened to me this month also. PA requires $100 yearly kennel fee to dog sit 1 or more dogs.

In kansas where I am at the city ordnance is I cant have more then 4 dogs and I cant watch the dogs for more then one week.

Many localities require you to be licensed if you provide in home boarding, in fact many localities will not allow it. Rover states in the terms of service you are required to check local laws and to be compliant with them.
