what if owner wants extended stay but I don't?

What can I do if an owner doesn't want to take her dog right away? This is a first, mind you. All owners before then have even wanted to take their dogs earlier! This is the first owner I've met who told me she'll be home but wants me to keep the dog longer. Well, you do you, but I won't be available. Is there an option for owners who don't want to take their dogs? Can I transfer the dog to another sitter?

No you do not have to keep the dog longer if you do not want to. I would word it to the owner very nicely that you are unable to keep her dog longer but would be happy to take her to another sitter through rover if she would like.

Its always nice to give a client a reason why you can not keep their pet longer, but it is not required. Your reasons are your reasons just keep in mind that the client does get the option to write a review. You can contact Rover Support to help you find another sitter that is available to watch the dog.

Good luck!

Thanks, I decided to contact http://rover.com. I'm having surgery(which I told her), and her replies just seemed shady... "oh flights delayed... delayed again! I'm going to be so tired!" Ya, if I could I would, but I can't.
