Charge by day instead of night?

I get alot of people dropping off early and picking up late.I am a vet tech full time, Rover sitter part time. At my full time job we offer dog boarding we charge by day instead of by night . Does anyone else think we should get the option to make charges by day instead of night? I brought this to customer service attention before and they said you can charge however you want. However when my page says charges are by night then I change it at booking people tend to not like that. Does anyone else think there should be a charge by day option instead of charge by night?

This is how I do it with early drop offs and late pick ups, the boarding fee covers 24h of care and daycare is 8h of care, so if a dog is dropped off at 8am but only picked up at the end of the next day, I would charge one boarding and one daycare to cover the extra hours passed the 24h of boarding.

It really doesn't matter which method is used. Just refer your clients to Rover's Help page:

https://support.rover.com/hc/en-us/ar...

When I have my M&G, I find out the dropoff and anticipated pickup times and, if the latter goes significantly beyond, I will specifically tell the client how each "night" is good for up to 24 hours of care. If they dropoff early, then they will need to pickup early as well. Not a single one has had an issue.

Dog boarding and house sitting are for 24 hour periods while Rover states night it is also by day. If they drop off at 7A the booked rate covers to 7A the next day

Boarding stay are charged on a night basis Day care is charged by a 8 hour basis Drop in charged on a visit basis House sitting charged by a night basis

In regards to Rover standards but you can adjust and change them as you specify with your clients :)
