Can owners from outside your service area still send you requests?

I don't drive so for dog walking and drop-ins I have set my service area rather small. For house sitting though, I can typically get a drive to outside my listed area, if given enough notice.

So my question; Can owners from outside your service area still send you requests or does the system limit them to only requesting sitters who have them within their service area?
