Stress, nervousness and/or eating too fast can cause your dog to throw up. Try a slow eater bowl or food/treat puzzle to slow your dog from eating to fast. But a serious medical condition can also cause it. Megaesophagus occurs when the esophagus loses normal muscular tone that allows it to move food down into the stomach. Food may be sitting in the esophagus until it is regurgitated. I would suggest contacting your veterinarian.
