Staying at different locations this week, is it bad or stressful for my dog?

I am a college student with many out of class activities involved with school. My dog sometimes goes to day camp twice a week but I normally have him all weekend unless something comes up. He stays at his old foster mom(I adopted him from a rescue.) Well this week he stayed at his sitters for 3 days straight, stayed one night at home but now we have to go house sit from Thursday to Monday. During that he has to go back to the sitters for a night. We won't be back to our actual home until Monday. Do you think this may be too stressful for a dog?

The above comments are great! Yes, it could be stressful but it depends on the dog and how they react to stress. Having his favorite items mentioned above and making sure he has an area that will he feels safe in where he could relax and take a nap away from stressors would be ideal. If you are watching other dogs, I would keep an eye on your dog as well to make sure he is not showing signs of stress: not looking at the other dog, smelling the ground when nothing is interesting on it, lip licking, yawning when not tired, whale eye, etc. If he is, it might be better to keep him away from the other dogs so he could relax and regroup.

It could be stressful but there are a few simple things you can do to alleviate stress. Make sure to pack his favorite treats/ and his favorite toys. What may help the most is one of your garments with your scent on it.

In my opinion, it depends on the dog. Some dogs deal with changing environment better than others. Observe your dog for any changing behaviors, nervousness, eating less, sleeping more, etc...

Relocation and a change in enviroment can definitely be stressful for your pup. Especially in the event that your dog grows anxious while you are away or left unattended. This can also lead to destructive behavior and change there feeding and bathroom schedule--- leading to loose stool or diarrhea
