Does anyone know of someone that can help lift dog in and out of car in DT Kirkland (Washington)?

Hello, I have a 12 year old lab 90 lbs. that can't jump in or out of my car. I would like to hire someone once a week, mainly on the weekends to get him in and out of car. That's all they would have to, be strong and good with animals. I live in dt kirkland across from park place. Appreciate your help

Hello,

I had the same problem with my 14yr old 80lb chocolate Lab. He didn't like to be carried, so I ended up teaching him how to use a ramp to get in and out of my car. He learned in about a week and it made things easier for both of us. You can purchase the ramp online or at Petco. I followed some videos on Youtube for training techniques. Good luck:)

A ramp is a very good idea. I used to walk four basset hounds and the owner was concerned about them jumping down from the station wagon tailgate---that they might hyperextend their backs. So my boyfriend made me a ramp. It clipped securely to the tailgate and had a non-slip surface. As long as the ramp is wide and long enough....so that it's not scarey---the dogs will learn to use it quickly.
