Do you bring your own poop bags for visits and stays?

Was just curious if this is an expense you take on or if clients normally provide. I know if I am walking dogs I will bring my own but when it is at their residence I wanted to know!

Thanks!

I always come prepared and see it as a business expense but will use theirs if they have. A good way to deal with this is to ask about it during the meet and greet and again when you are confirming the booking.

I bring my own on walks, as I like to use biodegradable ones I got on Amazon. If I'm at a dog park with provided bags and designated receptacles, however, I use those.

I always keep a roll of poop bags in my car. I see it as a business expense. If you get the packs of 6 or 12 rolls, they're really quite cheap. In my neighborhood, my city provides them in the local parks as an incentive for people to pick up after their dogs. For my first client, I simply took 1-2 of the free poop bags at a time, so I always had one with me. Some owners just don't pick up after their dogs, so they don't think about providing the bags for a sitter/walker.

I always have them as part of the business, however, every owner I have had has always provided them for me as well.

The vast majority of owners have provided them, however I do have my own. It's a cost of doing business and I save my receipts and take it as a business deduction on my taxes!
