when does the charge go through?

I was under the impression that I wouldn't be charged until the stay was over but I've scheduled a sitter for the end of July and the charge has already gone through. Please clarify.

Best Regards, Anne Davis

Once you book the stay (click the "Book It Now" button), your card is charged and you have paid for the stay. The sitter doesn't gain access to the money until 1-2 days after your stay is over. So, in essence, your money is in escrow until the conclusion of the stay.

I believe that your credit card is charged once the stay is confirmed, but you should call Rover support at [Edit: Rover’s contact options have changed. Visit the Rover Help Center at https://support.rover.com/ to find the phone number, help articles, or chat with the team] for details on how your payment is processed. The sitter will have the funds available to them 48 hours after the stay is finished.
