Why does my dog keep throwing up his food?

My dog ate something bad or has caught something because he keeps throwing up whatever he eats. Why is this happening? He looks really weak… can I give him some medicine to make him feel better and be able to keep down his food?

You need to take your dog to the veterinarian! No there is not an over the counter medication that you can give your dog, he needs to be seen by the vet today!! Any time you have a dog that is not able to hold down there food and is weak is a serious sign that there is a medical problem going on and needs to have an examination done by a licence veterinarian. I hope you already took your dog to the vet and wish you the best of luck!

If the dog was simply eating too fast that could be the cause. There are many other possibilities that seem more likely though since you mention low energy/looking weak. http://pets.webmd.com/dogs/vomiting-d...
