How do YOU advertise?

I'm trying to get ideas on how people here advertise. Other than Craigslist, what do YOU personally do to advertise?

Note: Just to be clear, I'm not asking HOW to advertise, I'd just like to see how OTHERS advertise besides using Craigslist to get ideas (the more creative the better)

I post my profile to Craigslist every time I have a solid stretch of availability coming up, and right before holidays if I'm not already booked. I also post to Facebook once a month asking friends to share.

I recently ordered some business cards, and have left them out in my building lobby, and at the Wylie Wagg that just opened near my apartment.

These three relatively simple actions have lead to a pretty decent request rate, but it's also possible this is do to my geographic location.

On the Rover Dashboard, there are direct links that are helpful when posting (advertising services) to other social media sites, such as Facebook, Google+, Twitter, and NextDoor. To help encourage you to do so, Rover even regularly offers sitters giveaways to earn points redeemable towards gift cards (Currently: Pick-Your-Prize Spring Giveaway).
I also use business cards to spread the word. I've given them out during walks/outdoor play time, shopping, etc. I also found that some independent/local smaller chain pet stores (not the biggest national chains), groomers, and veterinarians have places where they'll allow pet sitters to leave cards. You may also distribute cards at dog based events, and find other businesses/organizations too.

All I've ever done is craigslist (although, I don't know how many, if any, customers I've booked using it) and I also tried the Rover flyers. Not too much success with those - I don't recommend those.
