Why does my dog have runny eyes?
My dog often has runny eyes. I don't think he is crying, but maybe his eyes are irritated or sensitive to something? How can I tell? Should I give him eye drops?

"Tears" can be caused by many different things. Often times tears are produced due to either allergies or stress. However, if is yellow-ish in color, it can be a sign of an underlying illness or infection. Please do not give him eye drops unless your vet specifically tells you to.
Is it clear or yellow? I would not give him eye drops !! He might have allergies and I think the best thing is to take him to the vet if it is excessive or if it not clear. Which would mean there is an infection .
