Why does my dog pee while walking?

If your dog is an excited pee-er, they they'll pee when they're walking if they're excited. However, if your dog seems to not appear excited and simply can't control his or her bladder, it is very possible they could have a urinary tract infection. That would more than likely be the first sign. If you start to see blood in their urine, then they definitely have a UTI (urinary tract infection). Take them to the vet immediately.
Dogs should pee when they go out for a walk. Perhaps you mean marking, to add their scent or "overmark" cover another's scent, or social triggers.
Some dogs are simply too excited and not wanting to stop in order to finish their business and they want to mark as much territory as possible. It becomes worrisome if your dog is going frequently or straining to go, yet nothing is coming out or there is bllod present. Hope this helps!
