When do I book a stay?

Do I book it before the meet and greet or after? Curious

I definitely prefer meeting the clients and dogs prior to booking a stay. I had a meet & greet with the owners who were the second ones to ask for a booking after I joined Rover. They listed their dog as 100 pounds, but on arrival he looked like a small horse. The picture on their file did not really show his size. Plus he was hard to handle on leash, according to them. They didn't book the stay, and in this case I would have declined it anyway.

After. You want to make sure that the dog is a good fit and that you and the owners are both comfortable with the arrangements before committing to the stay.

That is up to you and the potential client. I think meet and greets are a good idea. You get an idea of what the dogs are like while you have the owner there as a buffer. So, you can ask any questions you may see come up such as behavior, size, layout of the home, etc. So, I would ask them if they are available for a meet and greet. But, I have had clients book me without a meet and greet.
