Why does my dog stick his tongue out?

Dogs normally stick their tongue out because unlike us, they can't sweat out of their skin. So, they get rid of their sweat by sticking out their tongue. Then, the tongue LITERALLY SWEATS for them. They also sometimes stick their tongue out to (in a way) eat the air so they can tell what is nearby
