Why does my dog cower and pee?

This is called submission urination and is pretty common. Your pup is trying to communicate to you and other pups that he/she does not pose a threat. It's most common when greeting new people or pups, or other exciting moments like petting or playing. It's also known to happen when being scolded as well.
