Why does my dog blink with one eye?
Sometimes my dog will look at me and only blink with one eye. Why does he do this?

It could be dry eyes, dust, hair, or similar debris that the dog is trying to clear out or possibly resulting from nerves. Then again, it could be the dog is winking at you to communicate something too (affection, attention, hunger, etc.).
Cats and dogs blink with both eyes, though sometimes if they wanted to for any reason they can blink with one eye only and leave the other eye open, which is called a wink.
Our dog, Milo, will wink after I do i give him a treat, the people at the old folks home where I take him to meet people think this is so cute. He will do this when working as my daughters service dog if people are staring he will turn his head To wink at me. And a double blink too.
