It could be a number of things could be something the dog ate on a walk that he or she should not have or maybe a treat or a food that is new and it takes awhile for the tummy to get used to it or could just be mild gastroenteritis stomach ache... you can give 10 milligrams of Pepcid AC

Your dog naturally has gas. If it's more than what you'd deem normal, it may be a food allergy to something they are consuming. Try some different kinds of all natural treats like dehydrated lamb or beef and see if you notice a difference with a certain kind of treat or a specific protein. Your dog might also have a medical issue and you can ask your vet. Perhaps probiotics to promote a healthy digestive tract would be worth a try as well.

Could be a few things.... if you recently changed their food, given them excessive treats or human food that could disturb their GI tract and cause gas.

Dogs pass gas for basically the same reasons people do. Flatulence is a normal bodily function that cannot be completely stopped. If a dog has excessive flatulence with a foul odor, the culprit is likely dietary. It may, however, be the result of an infection or illness.
