Take a client's dog to a dog park - does Rover insurance cover you?

I thought there was a statement in the TOS or Insurance page that said you ARE NOT COVERED if you take a client's dog to a dog park.

Comments

I thought so too - perhaps that part was eliminated with the changes? I looked the insurance over again and it doesn't show anything about dog parks or unleashed activities - which I thought it did before!!??

I sent in a request to support to see if we can get the answer!

Rover does NOT offer insurance. I don't think everyone understands that their guarantee is in no way shape or form insurance. I am sure someone out there learned this the hard way.

Hi Walt,

Thanks for reaching out about this. Our TOS does not exclude injuries to an owners dog from a dog park. That is something that would potentially be covered if the stay was booked through the site. Just kind of as a side note, it's always a good idea to check in with the owner to make sure that a dog park is a good place for their pet, but if something were to happen that is something that would potentially be covered.

I hope this helps. Please reach out if you have any other questions or concerns.

All the best,

Rover Support

This is interesting. Rover Support responds to your comment by writing as you?? Erasing your previous response?

I think he just copied and pasted what Rover Support sent to him via his request that he said he sent above.

I didn't modify or erase a post, but what I posted was the reply from Rover support

*brain freeze*

Interesting.
