How do I stop my dog from digging?

You need to redirect the dog or dogs and praise them for not allowing themselves to get into that habit. You are there to entertain and give them a sense of direction.

Reinforcement and Punishment is the most effective route for sure, punish when they dig and reward when they listen to you !

There are several things you can try, if your dog is digging by a fence to get out, you can bury chicken wire 6-12 inches down, throw and bury rock in the holes,

Some dogs may dig when left alone in the yard for long periods of time, for entertainment, young pup with too much energy and not receiving the proper exercise, certain breed dogs (Terrier),

You can take training classes, positive and negative reinforcement, bury the common holes with poop and/or rocks, commands,
