Dogs are like humans in that they get exposed to different foods and flavors and eventually take a liking to certain foods moreso than others, possibly crayons. If your dog eats crayons, it is extremely important to check the label of the crayon and make sure it's non-toxic. If the crayon is toxic for whatever reason, I would highly recommend taking your dog to the vet. If the crayon is non-toxic, like Crayola crayons, it problem isn't going to harm your dog. Even though crayons don't pose a serious threat to your dog if they're consumed, I would try to eliminate the crayon-eating and encourage the dog to eat food specific for dogs or even provide the dog with treats that meet the nutritional requirements they need.
