Dog Birthday Celebration
Our Dachshund's birthday is coming up and I wanted to have a little paw-ty for her. Does anyone have any fun suggestions on little birthday hats or special treats I can buy for her?

I always make my pup a cake for his birthday. I'm very picky about what he eats, so I ended up making my own recipe this year without any ingredients harmful to dogs. He LOVED it.
Here's the recipe: 1 egg, 3 Tablespoons peanut butter, 1/4 cup sugar-free applesauce, 1/4 cup rolled oats, 1/2 apple finely chopped
Mix it all together and put it into a greased ramekin or large muffin tin. Cook at 350 until toothpick comes out clean (20ish minutes). I "frosted" it with peanut butter and decorated it with treats.

We had a Happy Adoption Day for our guy. I bought him a big box of goodies that he got to pull out by himself. & he got to enjoy a big steak! I love little puppy parties, they are always so cute!

Definitely lots of high-quality treats (steak, etc) for just being a good doggie. I've seen little doggie birthday cakes in pet supplies sections at grocery stores, dollar stores, or pet shops too which are really cute and look like little birthday cakes.
I love my pup! I know exactly when he was born. That day, I will go to little pet shops, not the mainstream ones, or even bakeries. They have special dog treats. They are frosted, have all kinds of treat, enough I would want to eat it! Dairy Queen even has doggie specials. Raw hied bones are great too, they take long to chew which will give them a few days to celebrate a little longer. Take them on a walk or on a hike. Dog parks, car rides!
I have had the pleasure of attending some dog parties. You can always buy supplies at party stores but just keep in mind if you invite any pups that might eat any of the decor. And as far as snacks, you can make them yourself and of course don't forget about the puppy parents.
Some fun PAWty ideas: 1) put treats and colorful ball pit balls into a kids pools, the dogs will love it, and your guests might like it too 2) ask guests to send you a photo of their dogs face and print it on card stock, cut out the eyes and glue a Popsicle stick edge towards the bottom and you'll have fun masks for photos 3) you can make inexpensive and festive doggy scarves by folding a square piece of fabric into a triangle and let guest tie their favorites onto their pup though you may need different sizes
OK, so they don't know it's their birthday, but they are our best friends and it should be celebrated (even if it's more for us!). I always make my aussie a "cake" made with a can of fancy feast and bread crumbs (he thinks he is getting away with something). Have fun.
You can make great dog cakes and treats with almost any human recipe but omit some basics like eggs and sugar. I found fantastic recipes online and make the dog's food from scratch. He has allergies to everything so it's a must. You can make collars like hair scrunchies pennies on the dollars too!
