Wouldn't it be helpful to list sitters in zip code order?

Looking through pages of sitters to find one in my zip code is SO time consuming.

Please contact Rover Support to voice your frustration with their search process. They haven't listened to sitters, but hopefully they'll listen to customers who want to be able to see results for their zipcode only or first.

It may also depend on the services rover hosts offer, availability And imo who is given priority. It IS frustrating for owners searching and hosts! Please do send your frustration and suggestions to rover! Hopefully "good" changes will come soon. But, as the expression goes: "The squeaky wheel gets the grease." The more hosts and owners that voice their frustrations and suggestions, the less rover can "ignore" us all.

Yes, I completely agree with you, as do many other pet owners and sitters/walkers. For now, you can only save that time by using the + sign to zoom into the neighborhood area of interest and clicking the box labeled "Update when I move the map" in order to filter the results to a smaller list based on geographical preference.

You may also choose to request this as a future enhancement by contacting support via this web form link, https://support.rover.com/hc/en-us/re... , or calling 888-453-7889.

SO glad to see an Owner ask this question. When I contacted Rover Support (I'm a Sitter) and asked why location does not have a more important bearing on Search results they acted like I was the only one who ever thought that would be a good idea. But then they HAVE to take that stand cuz they want to control us with the Performance Scores...

Nope! You are not alone. Rover needs to weed out host accounts that aren't responding, not active but shows accnts active, etc. so the rest of us and owners can find the rest of us.

Personally I think there should be different ways to sort it. for example distance alphabetical low price to high priced high-priced to low price best rated most reviewed....... that's what every other website in the entire world does.

This is also how I prefer it when I search for a sitter for my own dog
