Rover Go is it worth it?

Been thinking of doing rovergo, has anyone switched from a regular account to roverGo? How do you like it? has your business changed?

I am RoverGo. I wish I could say that it was worth it but honestly, cannot.

There are other threads on this forum to look at which go into more detail.

Be aware that if you have any clients already, once you switch to RoverGo, they will take 25% of your earnings from them as well, not just new clients.

While I like having professional photos (my photographer was a jerk, though), and I like having the extra Protection package with the Ask a Vet, the value of those things seemed to pale after awhile.

As for whether or not I get more calls because of being RoverGo, that's debatable.

The RoverGo team is currently working on some things, so it might become more worth it in the near future (?).

I am already part of RoverGo, so I will stay RoverGo and see how things pan out.

I think it can be helpful for someone who needs the extra coaching.

I'd keep the extra 5%

It's only worth it if theres multiple pups involved but after doing 1 RoverGo walk I was left super salty...The walk was charged at $20. I only received $12. Errrr....what?

RoverGO is a great option for sitters who are looking to get more—more bookings, more clients, more money. The team sets you up to earn loyal clients, 4-6 stays every month, and continue building a thriving dog-sitting business. Some of the benefits included in the program is a complimentary background check, a professionally written profile, a boost in search rankings if you're a new sitter, and a welcome package of your choice which contains dog bandanas, thank you cards, t-shirts, and more!

RoverGO is especially great for new sitters on the site - especially ones trying to really ramp up their business - because we provide a boost for the first 10 stays for new sitters! That means you show up higher in search results. Coupled with your professional photos and written profile, you really stand out to owners.

It's also free to sign-up - the only difference is that you keep 5% less of your earnings. For example, regular sitters keep 80% of their earnings on the site and GO sitters keep 75% of their earnings.

But overall, sitters with GO have the opportunity to earn $100+ more each month, have about 20% more conversations with dog owners, and get 10-15% more bookings than a regular sitter.
