Why does my dog hump my leg?

They are showing dominance. Try some gentle, non-aggressive acts to show them that you are the leader. Praise with treats when they listen to you.

Many times they just want attention but sometimes they do it as a sign to show dominance.

9 times out of 10, humping is a sign of dominance, but in some cases, it may be an attention seeking behavior.

Mostly they are trying to be the dominant "dog" in the relationship. I found once my male dogs were nuetured the behavior stopped shortly after due to less hormones. They also could be trying to get a reaction from you.

A dog may hump a leg as a simple display of playfulness and attention-seeking, kind of like an invitation to a "play" party. A particularly anxious dog may even mount your leg as a means of easing his stress. Dogs often do this to other canines, as well.
