Why does my dog smell fishy?

It could be a couple of different things. If your dog is scooting, or licking at its rear end, it could be its anal glands, which are scent glands. If your dog eats a fish based diet, or takes fish oil daily, it could just be from that.
This sounds like an issue with anal glands being too full. Seek the help of a veterinary technician to express them safely :) (My dog starts to smell less than rosey when his are too full and he doesn't express them well enough on his own!)
9 times out of 10 your dog has just rolled in worms. One of your dogs favorite perfumes is in fact worm juice, and yes it smells just like fish.
Could be a UTI or an anal gland issue.
