It really depends on your preference. I would recommend two to three weeks and grooming once a month. If however you take your pup for a swim or to the dog park, I would recommend bathing that day.

Yorkies as a silky-haired breed are typically bathed every two weeks or longer for a healthy dog. Sometimes skin problems result in a need to bathe less frequently or more frequently.

There is no general time frame, it's really just whenever your dog gets dirty, or a little smelly, whenever they need it! That may mean every couple of weeks or every couple of months, or even longer. If bathing a dog with normal skin, once a month, use dog shampoo or human baby shampoo. If bathing more often, use a soap-free or moisturizing shampoo so you don't dry their skin out. And don't bathe more than once a week, unless there's an issue & your vet encourages it. Hope this helps! :) -Summer

Dogs with normal skin typically should be bathed once a month with a decent quality shampoo. They have some great dog shampoos on the market for all coat lengths and many different skin types. If your dog's skin has issues, you may want to try a sensitive skin shampoo and talk to your vet as you may need to bathe dogs that have allergies or certain types of skin issues more often. A good brushing between baths along with fish oil supplements and/or pumpkin can help your dog's coat stay shiny and healthy :)
