Have you had a Bad Review posted on your profile?

Have any sitters received a bad review on their profile? How did you respond? If not on your profile, have you had clients respond poorly verbally to you when you go to return the key?

I am going through this now. I have 26 good reviews, and this one bad review (no evidence was ever provided to confirm allegations), so I am concerned about losing clients. But Rover has assured me that one bad review can be overlooked if you have numerous good reviews and repeat clients that are satisfied with your care.

So far, no. But, it sounds like there's a story here somewhere...

I was looking at other sitters in my area, and one sitter with lots of positive feedbacks and lots of experience on Rover got two horrible reviews by two different people regarding the same day. I thought that was pretty strange, especially since all her reviews were sterling, she had a number of repeat clients, and the complaints - that the dogs were filthy, covered with ants - seemed contrived. It didn't make sense, and I hope that never happens to me.

I'm going through that too!!!! I watched a dog and the first night my mom was landed in the ER and I didn't make it to the house until late. They had cameras and a system in their house that would tell you if someone entered. Well I didn't have time to call her and let her know of the emergency and everything was blown out of proportion. The rest of the stay I watched the dog and took tons of pics. Then she left a bad review and said I wasn't truthful. Now that makes me look bad and I am pissed.
