For a full clip and nails for our large dog, we tip anywhere between $10-$15, depending on the job.

I tip minimum $5. I think it takes him about 30 minutes to do my dog from Brush to Bath to Nails/Teeth. With breaks and transition time between dogs I figure he does about 5 dogs per day.

I'll tell you my logic for the amount I give: If everybody tipped him at least $5 that would be $25/day. Which is $125/week so $500/month.

According to this article http://work.chron.com/average-salary-professional-dog-groomers-3219.html Most groomers make about $20K/year so an extra $500/month is like an extra weeks pay.

Dog groomers don't expect tips it get them as much as you think. I'm lucky if I make $15 on the weekend doing 5-6 full groom dogs.
