I can only speak from my experiences with Rover Support, and every time I have reached out they have been very helpful and supportive.

From what you've posted it sounds like you missed a few key elements about the dog and his sleeping arrangements and the pee pads at the meet and greet. I realize its always hard to ask all the right questions, but with a recovering pup you should have deeply inquired about the care required and what was expected of you the sitter. I don't want this to sound negative as I support all Rover sitters to succeed, but I think it is your problem and not that of Rover Support.

I agree with Walt.

Fyi, pee pads are not always scented. You'd be able to smell it yourself if it did. Many pee pads are just there to catch liquid if there's an accident. It doesn't "induce" the dog to pee. Most dogs will try very hard not to pee immediately where they are laying. Since you'd be in the bed with him you'd either feel him moving or hear him whinning. Any basic first aid book from the library or online will tell/show you how to properly lift dog with stitches. I agree that Rover could have been more diplomatic, however your lack of knowledge for how to care for the dog probably irritated the person. Those things that you think are so huge of an issue are very basic care procedures and very easy to find the answer to on Google.

I consider myself a good dog provider also however if someone told me I needed to improve, I wouldn't be quick to take offense. Everyone can expand on their knowledge and I would look for ways to learn from the experience. I would encourage you to continue to learn more about how to care for dogs especially ones with special needs. Hope it goes well for you in the future.
