Why are Holidays not blocked if sitter is unavailable?

All sitters I gave contacted show availability for Thanksgiving but not one has been available so far. There are additional holiday rates listed as well. This makes it extremely tiresome for those of us seeking services. Should be blocked so we are not wasting our time...... L. Dunch

It is possible that they have not planned that far out yet, as Rover has not prompted sitters to confirm their availability for Thanksgiving at this time. You may want to try contacting Rover Support at [Edit: Rover’s contact options have changed. Visit the Rover Help Center at https://support.rover.com/ to find the phone number, help articles, or chat with the team], informing them of the services you're looking for, a little information about your pets, and the dates you're needing. They can reach out to nearby sitters for you and match you with someone that meets your needs and is available so that you will not have to continue doing so only to be turned down.
