When to increase rates for services?

I have been a sitter on rover for a few months now. Originally, I priced my rates low to be competitive. I am increasing my client base and want to start increasing my rates for some of my services. When should I start increasing rates and by how much?

I started low, like you, and raised my rates by $3 after 6 months. I then raised everything after another 6 months by $5, and I have stayed at those rates.

Check the other sitters in your area to see what is the average and have that as your goal. As you get more clients and more reviews, you are justified in raising your rates.
