My dog has been in a fight, and why is she now snoring?

My golden retriever was attacked by two stafford terriers today. The vet examined her and treated the bite wounds on her ears, neck and back. He said it's not the worst he'd seen and that we should check in tomorrow. But my dog started snoring and breathing in a weird way a few hours after we got home. When she drinks water it sounds odd, like the water is getting in her windpipe, and she drinks very little of it. she has never snored before. Should I be worried?

Was she making these noises when you took her to the vet? I'd suggest contacting the vet again and asking them. If her breathing sounds labored or if she's getting water in her lungs (some kind larynx injury?) it is definitely cause for concern! Watch her very closely and if you're in doubt, take her back to the vet! I hope it's nothing serious and she recovers from her injuries quickly, but better to err on the side of caution.

Since you say it's a new sound and her breathing sounds labored now I would definitely get back in touch with the vet! They may need to do xrays and make sure it's going to heal on it's own and not maybe collapse suddenly or something scary!

Her throat may be damaged and so willl make funny noises untill it heals. The biggest risk with dog bites is infection. So as long as she has SOME liquids and isn't running fever, it just takes time to heal. With a stressful situation like that she needs alot of rest. If she's resting easy follow vet instructions and come in morning.
